VTrans is committed to an open and inclusive public outreach process. The public outreach program includes many ways to learn about the project and stay informed.
VTrans will host a series of public meetings to keep the public informed on progress. These meetings will provide updates on project status and construction activities. We encourage your attendance and participation at these public meetings. Check this website for information on public meetings.
When: May 9, 2016, 6:00 PM
Where: Crossett Brook Middle School located at 5672 Vermont 100, Waterbury, Vermont
A public meeting was held by the Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) and Town of Duxbury.
Meeting Details: Duxbury BF 013-4(47) - VT Route 100 Bridge #193 over Crossett Brook, Culvert Replacement Project
The existing pipe metal arch culvert will be replaced during the 2016 construction season with a wider open bottom arch culvert to provide greater resiliency to larger storm event and aquatic organism passage. Traffic will be maintained on an off-alignment two-lane, two-way temporary bridge. There may be periodic short term lane closures to allow the contactor access to the site.
The intent of the meeting is to provide an overview of this bridge replacement project to Town Officials, local residents, businesses, emergency services and other interested parties. There will be a review of the existing site conditions, proposed work, maintenance of traffic and overall schedule followed by a question and answer period.
This project on VT Route 100 is approximately 0.7 miles south of the intersection of VT Route 100 and VT Route 2.
